FAQs

  • We do not currently take or bill directly to your health insurance provider. However, I am an out or network provider and can provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your provider for out of network benfits.

  • The answer to this is very subjective…it depends. It depends on what your wants or goal are with receiving massage, your budget, your availability etc….

We think that once per month is great for maintenance, but more frequent if you have problematic or more urgent issues to work through (such as recovering from an injury, or final weeks of training for a marathon).

Some people try to come every week or two….it really is what seems right for you at any given time.

  • No! You should feel comfortable when you get a massage. If you prefer to keep your clothes on for whatever reason (modesty, vulnerability issues etc..) we can still find a way to give you an effective massage. That being said, it is usually more effective to NOT work through clothing, especially bra straps. Many of our clients undress completely and most leave just their underwear bottoms on. In any case, we use a sheet to properly drape your body so that your genitals, breasts, and behind are adequately covered at all times, only exposing the body parts being worked on.

  • Sure! Sometimes people release stress when they talk. I try to let my clients dictate the level of conversation and sometimes that means we chat much of the massage. However, I think it is typically more beneficial if you try to quiet your mind by being silent for a majority of the massage session.

  • It depends…. on the type of massage you receive. If you just received really deep, intense and targeted bodywork I would say it probably would not be a great idea to engage in intense exercise using those muscles that were targeted during the massage. Maybe wait day or two to see how your body is reacting to the massage work.

If you received a massage that wasn’t particularly specific or intense/deep, I would say moderate exercise is just fine for the same day…hopefully the massage “warmed you up” a bit.
